Hello!

Hello everyone!

I have never blogged before so I'm really new at this kind of thing, I've had facebook for years so i know my way around there!  If you want to take a look at some of the cards I've made in the past I'll try and get them on here at some point, but if you cant wait please take a look at my facebook page www.facebook.com/craftedwithlovebylisacom. My love is with paper craft, so card making and scrap booking, and the techniques that go with that like stamping, colouring, decoupage, embossing, using computer software like serif, docrafts, crafters companion, polka doodles ect, i could go on but you get the idea!  I've just brought my new toy as well, a silhouette cameo, but i haven't really had chance to play with it properly yet.

I make hand crafted cards for all occasions, that i can customise to peoples needs, i also used to make wedding stationary, and I'm in the process of designing a new range.

My story so far...

I have always been interested in art and design, from a very early age.  At secondary school i got an A in art and a B in graphics at GCSE, then went on to do a GNVQ advanced in art and design, where i did everything arty like painting and drawing, pottery, photography, graphic design and fashion.  I then went onto do a degree in fashion design at Leeds university (Bretton Hall campus).

I first started crafting after i had my son, i had post natal depression quite bad and i needed something to keep my mind busy, so i went back to what i loved the most, being arty!  I was flicking through the channels on the TV and found create and craft and brought a few items and i was off!  A few months after i then started to make wedding stationary, and made all of my own stationary for my wedding, people couldn't believe that I'd made it myself. 

Because of work and my son, my crafting slowly started to take a back seat, until i stopped doing it all together again, and everything got moved back up the loft.  But in sept 2011, i decided it was time i started doing it again!  It didn't take me long to get back into it again.  Because of one thing and another, my depression is back again, and crafting is my lifeline again, its giving me something to keep my mind busy with again, and I'm experimenting more with different styles and mediums.  The only problem though is because i do it to keep my mind busy, I've now got over 100 cards that I've made, and i need to sell them!  So I'm thinking of doing some craft fairs in the future when I'm feeling better, but in the mean time if you like anything that I've made, message me and you can pay for it through paypal and i can post it out to you!  I'd love to get a job crafting, but wouldn't every crafter?!?!  To wake up in a morning and get paid to do something you love to do anyway would be a bonus :)
